Welcome to the Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Delta Omicron!

     Delta Omicron is professional music fraternity that was founded in 1909. The purposes of Delta Omicron are to create and foster fellowship through music, give music students an opportunity to meet with one another and, by personal contact and exchange of ideas, to broaden the individual outlook; to strengthen devotion and loyalty to Alma Mater; to develop character and leadership; to encourage the highest possible scholastic attainment, excellence of individual performance, and appreciation of good music; to give material aid to worthy students; and to manifest interest in young musicians. Our Alpha Epsilon chapter is located at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. We are a very active chapter and we host many events throughout the year, such as, an Instrumental Petting Zoo for children, the Annual Faculty Tea and Door Decorating, Valet Parking for the Friends of the Petrie School of Music concerts, The Annual Petrie School of Music Picnic and various concerts and seminars throughout the year.

     As President of this organization, I plan on working with my members to follow through on each of our purposes of Delta Omicron. As we participate in our activities, we will strive to always keep in mind the strengthening of friendships as we watch our musical talents and knowledge grow. For these friendships are the basis of connections of musicians all over the world, who are our peers and mentors as we leave our college experiences behind.
